Kate Watson is a visual artist, currently living and working in London.
A graduate of the Glasgow School of Art and an M.A. in Human Rights & International Politics.

Kate’s work combines her fine art background with her experience working in human rights and international development. Working in both print and photography, her work focuses on the under reported conflicts and latent forms of violence and their humanitarian consequences. To date it has included explorations of such as undocumented migration in Mexico, female headed households in rural Burundi and the role of the media in creating our reactions to contemporary life, examining the interplay between subject and object, viewer and viewed.

She has worked internationally to develop and facilitate participatory art projects with marganilised communities in Africa, Mexico and the UK, and has also worked to document the work of NGO’s. These have included: Actionaid, PhotoVoice, Amnesty International, Mexico, Estancia del Migrante González y Martínez, Mexico, and 500 Miles UK.
